Shrimp and pineapple skewers

Shrimp and pineapple skewers

Today we share with you this recipe for shrimp skewers with pineapple, tasty, easy to prepare, healthy and perfect for people who like to make dinners in a quick way. It will only take you a few minutes to prepare this dish to share with friends and family.

  • 500 grams (1 pound) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 pineapple, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • Black pepper and salt to taste

  1. If using wooden skewers, it is essential to soak them for 30 minutes to reduce burning and splintering.
  2. Place shrimp and vegetables in a large bowl and add ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper, BBQ sauce, honey and stir well until combined.
  3. Place shrimp on skewers along with pineapple chunks and red pepper. Preheat barbecue or grill to high for 4 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat on the grill to medium-high and grill the skewers for about 4-5 minutes (or until cooked through), with the grill lid down. Drizzle the pineapple shrimp skewers with the sauce as they cook.

  • Be sure to cut the pineapple into fairly small pieces so it cooks well since these shrimp skewers are only on the barbecue for about 8 minutes.
  • If you want a more seasoned shrimp, you can pre-marinate the shrimp in a bowl with lime juice and salt and leave in the refrigerator for 45 minutes.
