Sinaloa style shrimp cocktail

Today we will prepare this Sinaloa style shrimp cocktail recipe, a dish in which the ideal ingredients are mixed to obtain tender shrimp.


  • 1 kilo of shrimps with head
  • 2 garlic
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 1 chopped carrot
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 2 red onions
  • 1 cucumber cut into small cubes
  • 1 tablespoon Knorr shrimp broth
  • ½ tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • Clamato
  • Salt to taste


  1. Wash and devein the shrimp, insert a toothpick in each shrimp to remove the veins, rinse again with plenty of water.
  2. In a pot over medium heat with 2 liters of water add ½ red onion, garlic, 3 chopped tomatoes, celery and carrots, pepper, oregano, Knorr shrimp broth and salt.
  3. Cook for 10 minutes over medium-low heat, once ready, remove the onion, tomato and garlic, then take it to a blender with a cup of the broth and blend very well.
  4. Add the liquid from the blender to the broth in the pot and once it is boiling add the shrimp and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Turn off the heat, remove the shrimp with the help of a strainer and reserve the broth, remove the shrimp heads and shells. Reserve the broth.
  6. Once the broth is cold, take a large glass and add cucumber, onion, tomato, then add 3 tablespoons of shrimp and the broth of the preparation.
  7. Add 4 tablespoons of clamato, lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. Stir a little and ready, you have a delicious Sinaloa style shrimp cocktail.
