  • 800 grams of medium shrimps
  • 400 grams of mushrooms
  • ½ cup finely chopped white onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 1 teaspoon fish bouillon powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, spread the oil over the skillet and once hot add the shrimp and cook for 1 minute on each side.
  2. Remove the shrimp and lower the heat to medium, in the same skillet place the butter, add the onion, sauté for 30 seconds, then add the garlic and sauté until the garlic releases aroma.
  3. In the same pan, add the mushrooms and sauté for 1 minute, then add the white wine, once the wine alcohol evaporates (1 minute), add the cream, mix well, add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add the fish stock and let the mixture reduce until the cream has the desired consistency, about 4 minutes.
  5. Finally add the shrimp and stir the mixture over medium-low heat for 1 minute, then serve your shrimp in mushroom sauce with rice or noodles.


  • You can cut the shrimp into butterfly shapes but always keep in mind that they must be peeled and deveined.
  • The cream used to prepare these delicious shrimp in mushroom sauce should not be too runny. You can use sour cream, which is the type of cream used to prepare nachos, burritos or tacos.
  • If you don’t want to use white wine, you can substitute it with shrimp or fish stock or water.
