Beans with clams and prawns stew

Today we bring you a spectacular recipe to prepare a rich stew of beans with clams and prawns, this dish is very special because of the combination of flavor.


  • 12 raw prawns
  • 400 grams of white beans
  • 400 grams of clams
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 glasses of white wine
  • olive oil
  • Parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


  1. Soak the clams in cold water and plenty of salt, leave them for one or two hours so that they open up and release any sand they may have. Meanwhile, peel the prawns, separate the shells from the bodies and set both aside.
  2. Heat a frying pan over medium heat with parsley, half an onion, oil and salt, then add the shells and mash to release the juices. Then add the glass of wine, cook for 5 minutes, add a glass of water and cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. When the clams are ready, strain them to release the sand and put them in a pan along with several sprigs of parsley, add the glass of wine and ½ glass of water, cover and let them cook until they open.
  4. Once they have opened, remove them and set them aside, when they are all done; strain the cooking broth and set it aside too.
  5. Peel and chop the onion and garlic and in another frying pan, brown the garlic first. When it is golden brown, add the onion to cook and soften.
  6. After 2 minutes of cooking the shrimp heads, remove the pan from the heat and strain the shrimp heads, pressing well to release all the juice that may be left, then set aside.
  7. Add the prawns to the sauce, turn from time to time, add salt, and once ready, remove them from the sauce.
  8. Mash the two reserved broths and add them, cook for 5 minutes, mash to get rid of the small pieces of meat.
  9. Add the beans and cook for another 1 to 15 minutes, add a teaspoon of cornstarch dissolved in water to thicken the sauce.
  10. Add the prawns and clams two minutes before serving. After this time, serve this delicious bean stew with clams and prawns.


  • If you have the possibility to soak the clams in sea water, it is ideal, as it will speed up the process to prepare this delicious bean stew with clams and prawns.
  • Thicken the sauce in a separate bowl with a little cold water, dissolve a teaspoon of cornstarch and add it little by little until you find the desired thickness.
