Butterflied shrimp

Prepare in a quick and easy way some delicious and crunchy butterfly shrimp with the sauce of your choice.

Come and let’s prepare these shrimp that we bread with flour and fry them in less than 5 minutes!


  • 12 large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup of wheat flour
  • Sunflower oil for frying
  • ¼ tablespoon dried basil
  • ½ tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • Mayonnaise to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Make a shallow cut along the length of the back of each shrimp, butterfly cut. Rinse with plenty of water and let stand on a platter.
  2. Add the flour to a bowl and add the shrimp and stir until evenly coated. Then cover and keep the bowl in the refrigerator for 60 minutes.
  3. Add chopped basil, salt, parsley, hot sauce and 1 teaspoon of oil to a bowl and mix to make a sauce.
  4. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, then add shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes on each side or until pink.
  5. Remove shrimp and serve on a plate adding more parsley, lemon juice and hot sauce to taste.

  • If you want to accompany your butterflied shrimp with a rich sauce, we suggest mixing 10 tablespoons of mayonnaise with 8 tablespoons of ketchup, adding chopped garlic, salt and pepper to taste.
