  • 500 grams of medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 cloves of garlic, chopped

  • ½ cup finely chopped parsley
  • 1/3 cup white wine
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup grated pecorino to taste
  • Salt and ground black pepper

  1. In a skillet over medium high heat add the oil, then the butter and letting it melt and a little.
  2. Add all the shrimp to the pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes and then turn the prawns over.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and garlic. Cook for 1 minute, reduce the heat to low and then add the white wine.
  4. Let everything simmer for another minute, turn off the heat and then add the cheese, herbs and mix.
  5. Serve your sautéed shrimp with steamed broccoli, salads or rice, enjoy the flavor by adding ground black pepper to taste.

In this sautéed shrimp recipe the white wine gave depth and complexity to the dish, while the butter added the perfect creamy component.

On the other hand, the cheese added a touch of richness and the fresh herbs helped balance the whole dish with an exquisite garnish.

  • Cook the shrimp in two different batches to make sure they brown well on each side. If you overfill the pan, the shrimp will steam and not brown. For each batch repeat steps 1-4.
  • We don’t add the garlic until after turning the shrimp to make sure it doesn’t burn, once the garlic burns it takes on a very bitter taste.
  • Deglazing with white wine helps to bring back the flavors lost in the preparation. After that, all you need to do is add the garnishes and you’re done!
