Shrimp Pil Pil

Today we bring you this simple recipe so you can prepare some tender and delicious shrimp Pil Pil sauce, a traditional Basque food prepared with ingredients that give it a spectacular flavor! Stay and let’s cook this delicious dish.


  • 1 ½ kilo of shrimp
  • White wine to taste
  • 2 ½ tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 pinch of aji cacho de cabra chili pepper to give it a medium spicy taste
  • Salt to taste


  1. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a frying pan, chop the garlic cloves into medium pieces and sauté them.
  2. Once you notice that the garlic cloves are golden brown, carefully add the peeled shrimp.
  3. Add the chili pepper and salt or pepper to taste, once you notice that the shrimp are sautéed, add the wine to enhance the mix of flavors. Wait a few minutes until the alcohol in the wine evaporates.
  4. Turn off the heat, let it rest for a few seconds and add the fresh parsley and that’s it, enjoy your Pil Pil shrimp.
