  • Toasted sushi seaweed leaves or nori (for rolling)

  • 6 peeled and cooked shrimp

  • 100 grams of cream cheese
  • Salad dressing or mayonnaise

You could also use tempura shrimp instead of cooked shrimp.

  1. Cook Japanese rice in boiling water over medium heat for about 15 minutes or according to package directions. When rice is just cooked, cover and let stand for another 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Mix the sushi vinegar, sugar and salt and stir until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved. Pour this mixture into the hot rice. Combine well and let the rice cool for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Place the nori sheet on a bamboo roll or makisu sheet, then add the rice on top and spread it evenly over the sheet.
  4. Add the fillings in a row on top of the rice. Roll up and press the nori sheet tightly to prevent spillage.
  5. Cut the sushi roll into bite size, 6 to 8 pieces. Serve each roll with your favorite dressing or mayonnaise.
