Today we will be preparing some delicious shrimp veracruz recipe, this typical dish from the beautiful Mexican city of Veracruz, is seasoned with chili, olive oil and garlic.
The first time we tried them we were delighted with the rich flavor of this dish, how soft these shrimp are and the variety of foods with which they can be accompanied.
- 800 grams of shrimp
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 jalapeño pepper
- 3 garlic cloves
- Fresh cilantro
- Clean the shrimp well, proceed to devein each shrimp carefully, once clean fry them in a previously heated pan over low heat with olive oil and a little salt, meanwhile go grind the tomatoes, garlic and jalapeño pepper.
- Once the shrimp turn pink, turn the heat up to medium and add the seasonings, let them season well and adjust the flavor by adding a little salt and pepper to taste.
- You can serve your shrimp veracruzana style with rice, beans or whatever you prefer.
Some people enjoy shrimp veracruzanos with avocado, warm tortillas or rice, also adding olives and finely chopped chives.
