Here we’ll show you how to prepare these tacos with chipotle chile and shrimp that are well seasoned and irresistible to the palate.


  • 1 pound or 500 grams peeled and without veins
  • 1 ½ teaspoons chipotle chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of serrano chile
  • 6 corn tortillas
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • Half a cabbage, chopped
  • 1 avocado, chopped
  • 1 cup Pico de gallo


  1. Whisk together sour cream in a small bowl, ½ tablespoon chipotle chili powder and lime juice. Add kosher salt to taste for seasoning and refrigerate until ready to use, 20 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, add 1 tablespoon serrano chile, 1 tablespoon chipotle powder, pepper and add the shrimp, stirring slowly, then marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Add the vegetable oil to a large non-stick skillet and heat over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook over medium-low heat until opaque and pink, about 3 minutes per side.
  4. Heat tortillas on a griddle and add shrimp, shredded cabbage and chopped avocado. Top with fresh lime juice and serve your chipotle shrimp tacos with pico de gallo and chipotle lime crema.


  • The pico de gallo is a very easy side dish to prepare, all you have to do is chop the tomato and onion into small squares and add serrano or jalapeño peppers. You can choose the chili of your preference either chopped or powdered, in this case we use jalapeño chili powder.
